Sectarian Violence In Mukdadiya

Tareek al-Shaab is issued by the Iraqi Communist Party.

An informed security source in Mukdadiya [town north of Baghdad] has revealed that political, religious, and other forces met on July 2 and agreed to halt acts of violence and armed operations in the town, including a ban on random killings and abductions. Meanwhile, an informed source in the oil protection force said on July 3 that a pipeline at the Bai Hassan field, west of the town, had been set on fire.
