Taleban fighter arrested in Zabul

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

Police arrested a Taleban fighter called Mullah Juma Khan in the Shahr-e-Safa district of the southern province of Zabul on December 6, officials said. The police chief in the district, Ghulam Rasul Aka, said the detainee had given a confession, saying he was linked to Taleban commander Qari Yousuf and was intending to go to the Mianshin district, also in Zabul, to carry out acts of violence.
