Turkmen-Russian Business Forum Set for December

Major companies from Turkmenistan and Russia are expected to sign agreements on oil and gas, communications and engineering at a joint forum in December 2007.

The Turkmen government says it want to attract over 25 billion US dollars in foreign investment by 2020 to develop its oil and gas sector. Russia remains Turkmenistan’s main energy partner and is expected to grab this opportunity to strengthen its position further.
