Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada institution for Media, Culture, and Arts.

Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, (who also leads the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan,) said the issue of uniting the two Kurdish administrations will be taken up after the December 15 parliamentary elections. In a press conference with Kurdistan Regional Government president Masood al-Barzani, (who heads the rival Kurdistan Democratic Party,) Talabani said the two sides have similar visions regarding uniting the two administrations (in Sulaimaniyah and Erbil.) He said attention must now focus on preparing for the elections.
