Talabani Urges Unity

Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada Institution for Media, Culture, and Arts.

Following the bombing of al-Sadriya market that left 130 dead and injured 305, President Jalal Talabani called on the Iraqi people to strive for unity and reconciliation, as this was the only to confront terrorist acts. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki pledged to eliminate crime and those responsible for it. Talabani accused the "Saddamis" and "Takfiris" of staging the bombing, describing those who support such crimes as criminals too.
