Eighty-One Bodies in Eight Months

Awene is a Sulaimaniyah-based independent newspaper issued weekly by the Awene Company.

Iraqi police found four bodies in the town of Laylan in southern Kirkuk province on September 24. This brings the number of murdered people found in Kirkuk to 81 over the last eight months. Four of the 81 were women. All the bodies have shown signs of torture.
