Talabani Urges Sunnis to Condemn Sadr City Bombing

President Jalal Talabani has urged Sunni clerics to condemn the bombing of Sadr City [a Baghdad district] which killed of 66 people and injured 100. He noted that the government had asked Sunni clerical figures to issue edicts prohibiting the shedding of Muslim blood and defining those responsible as “blasphemers”. He said the attackers targeted the “city of the poor”.
