High winds injure child, disrupt life in Nangarhar

The Kabul Times is a state-run daily published in English.

Strong winds overnight injured a child and caused some damage in Jalalabad, the provincial capital of Nangarhar. The storm started on the night of April 9 and continued into April 10. The wind was so violent that it uprooted several large trees in Jalalabad and some provincial districts. Several walls collapsed, electricity was cut off and residents were forced to shut their shops in the capital and surrounding areas.
