Coalition for International Justice (CIJ) Trial Reports Archive
The Coalition for International Justice was established in 1995 in Washington, D.C. and
The Hague, The Netherlands to support and promote the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and the International Criminal Court for Rwanda (ICTR). CIJ provided assistance to the tribunals in the form of monitoring, legal and technical assistance, analysis and critiques, advocacy and public education. In 2000, CIJ expanded its work to include the development and operations of the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the Serious Crimes Unit in East Timor and the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia. CIJ also led efforts to document atrocities in Darfur, Sudan between 2004 and 2006.
When CIJ closed in 2006, it donated its searchable Trial Reports Archive to IWPR in recognition of our own reporting work and to ensure these courtroom reports would remain available to the public electronically.
