Four US soldiers killed in Uruzgan

A bomb hit a US military vehicle on February 13 in the Dehrawood district of the southern province of Uruzgan, killing four American soldiers, the US military said.Shortly after the blast, militants fired at the troops with guns and rocket-propelled grenades.The military responded, calling in attack helicopters and fighter planes, the military said in a statement.“This is a sad and tragic day for us all,” said Brigadier General John Sterling. The attack brings the US military death toll to 214 in and around Afghanistan since the Taleban regime was toppled in 2001.
