Electricity Blackouts

Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

The ministry of electricity said the continuous blackouts are due to the fuel shortage and to act of sabotage targeting power plants. A source at the ministry (who was not named) said there were more than 90 attacks on the power lines that led to blackouts. He added that the technical and engineering staff tried their best to repair the towers and the cables.
