Pakistani authorities freed suspected Taleban leader Mullah Wahidullah Wardak on January 17. Wardak, 27, was detained during a raid by Pakistani intelligence agencies in Akora Khatak area of the Nowshera district in August last year. Wardak said he was freed near the Khairabad Bridge between the North-West Frontier Province and the Punjab. “I have no idea where I was kept during that period. However, when I opened my eyes, I found myself near the Khairabad Bridge,” he said.
