Iraqi President Rejects US Report

Al- Taaki is issued daily by the Kurdistan Democratic Party.

President Jalal Talabani has criticised the US report calling for a new approach to the war in Iraq, describing it as unfair and unjust. He said it contained dangerous recommendations that were an insult to the Iraqi people and could undermine the country's sovereignty. He added that he "completely disagreed with the report". The president said that by threatening to decrease its political and military support, as well as ignore its people's struggle against the dictatorship, the US was treating Iraq like a small colony.
