Talabani Meets Qummi

Al-Ittihad is published daily by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

President Jalal Talabani met the Iranian ambassador to Iraq Kadhimi Qummi to discuss the current security and political situation in Iraq and emphasised the need for a strengthening of bilateral relations. Talabani focused on international, regional and local efforts to achieve stability in Iraq - which is key to security and stability in the area as whole. Qummi praised Talabani's efforts to establish good relations with Iran.
