A twelve-year-old boy was killed and 12 others including two women were injured in a bomb blast in the northern province of Kunduz on February 22, officials said. Provincial police chief Mutaleb Beg said a powerful bomb placed on a bicycle detonated at around 1:45 p.m. near a bazaar in this northern city. According to local residents, the blast took place close to a passing convoy of vehicles belonging to the Provincial Reconstruction Team, PRT. Two PRT vehicles were slightly damaged and one soldier sustained injuries.
