Schoolteacher beaten in Zabul

Erada is an independent daily run by the Afghan Media and Resource Centre.

Unknown men beat a schoolteacher and burned textbooks at a school in the Jora district of the southern province of Zabul on May 9. A senior provincial education official blamed Taleban militants for the attack. The incident happened shortly after two schools were burned in the central province of Kapisa on the night of May 8.
