Education minister tells teachers to avoid sectarianism

Education minister Abdul Falah Hassan al-Sudani has called on teachers and educational staff to avoid sectarianism in teaching institutions, so as to prevent a sectarian conflict from being ignited. In a declaration issued to mark Teachers’Day, he urged all teachers to focus on national unity and to regard schools as homes of education that have nothing to do with any political or ethnic direction; they are incubators for all Iraqis regardless of ethno-religious background.
