The Kabul Times is a state-run paper published in English every other day.

US Senator John Kerry has said Afghanistan’s parliament represents an important step toward democracy. Praising the progress and achievements of the past four years, Kerry assured President Hamed Karzai of continued American assistance and cooperation. President Karzai said Afghanistan’s achievements were the result of the determination of the people of Afghanistan and the cooperation of the international community, especially that of the US.
