Arab League Envoy Says Displaced Persons Should Go Home

Baghdad is a daily newspaper issued by the Iraqi National Accord.

The head of the Arab League’s mission in Iraq, Ambassador Mukhtar Lumani, has had a meeting with the minister for displace persons and migrants, to discuss the situation of forcibly displaced people, the deteriorating security situation, and rising sectarianism. Lumani said the best solution for displaced families was to resettle them in the place of origin and guarantee their safety there. Political parties, religious leaders, and tribal elders could play a role in this, he said.
