Almazbek Imanaliev has been appointed head of Kyrgyzstan’s State Committee for Managing State Property. The 52-year old replaces Tursun Turdumambetov, who was dubbed “the chief privatiser” because he oversaw denationalisation programmes and the privatisation of numerous large enterprises.

Imanaliev has a degree in civil engineering and has worked for the property committee for the last eight years.
