Negotiations with Insurgents Threatens the Security

Iraqi national security adviser Mowafaq Al-Rubai criticised secret negotiations between the United States and the insurgents, asserting that they would ultimately threaten the national security. He said the Iraqi government was not informed of the negotiations and criticised the Americans for not notifying the Iraqi government about the talks beforehand. He said the US should have let the Iraqi government deal with this issue.
