Tests reveal infected rice and wheat imports

Al-Mada is issued daily by Al-Mada institution for Media, Culture, and Arts.

The ministry of trade has turned back six ships loaded with rice and wheat from Thailand and Germany after laboratory tests indicated that the consignments were not fit for human consumption. The ministy said imported food was infected with colon bacteria, and has asked the suppliers for compensation to pay for the shipping fees.
