The Iraqi central bank has decided to move all of its funds and offices from its headquarters in al-A'dhamiya to the Green Zone, where the ministry of finance is located. The central bank made the decision over fears of escalating violence in the neighbourhood. The head of A'dhamiya's municipal office, Mohammed al-Adami, said the Abu Hanifa school for religious sciences, Ibn al-Haithem college and the Islamic sciences university and five government offices in the neighbourhood have also been closed until further notice over security concerns.
