Baghdad is a daily newspaper issued by the Iraqi National Accord.

Health Minister Ali al-Shummary said that 700 people have died in violent incidents in the first half of August, with on average 50 victims a day. According to Baghdad central morgue, the total number of fatalities for July was 1859. He added that health ministry personnel were unable to visit warehouses storing medicine in Latifiya because they were under the control of the insurgents.
