Barzani: Reconciliation plan should not be at the expense of the Kurds

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

The presidency of Kurdistan region has stressed that the Kurds should not lose out as a result of the national reconciliation plan. President Masood Barzani has said that the Kurdish leadership supported Prime Minister Maliki's initiative to resolve the political and security crisis, but warned that the constitution should not be amended in the process at the expense of the Kurds. He added that those involved in the political process should accept the constitution that all Iraqis agreed on.
