Fadhila Party first deputy secretary-general Ali al-Dabbagh described the talks carried out by president Jalal Talabani with the gunmen as courageous move and said all of the political parties considered the initiative a brave step. He maintained that the next government's mission is to enhance dialogue with (insurgent) groups, except with the fundamentalists and supporters of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, and to include them in the political process. He added that the new government would put an end to the sufferings of the Iraqi people by prioritizing improving the security situation and other problems.
