PRT equips radio and TV station in Paktia

The Kabul Times is a state-run paper published in English every other day.

The United States-led Provincial Reconstruction Team, PRT, in the south-eastern province of Paktia has given modern equipment worth 198,000 US dollars to the region;s official radio and TV station, officials said on April 3. The head of the station said the PRT had constructed buildings, given them digital equipment and enhanced FM radio to 10kw. He said that with the new equipment, their programmes will be heard in neighbouring provinces, including across the border in Pakistan.
