Party Official Urges Baathists to Talk to People

Syria Media Report, 4-Dec-07

Haitham Satahi, a regional official in the Baath party, has called on party members to engage in greater dialogue with the Syrian people and encourage freedom of thought.

Satahi said the party should build a culture founded on democratic principles, Al-Baath newspaper reported on November 28. He said the party must re-evaluate its philosophy in light of world political and economic developments.
