Iranian drug smuggler arrested in Nimroz

Arman-e-Milli is an independent daily run by a group of journalists.

Afghan police arrested an Iranian drug trafficker and confiscated nearly two kilograms of heroin in the western province of Nimroz on April 24. Provincial police chief Abdul Khalil Bakhtiar said that Faramarz, a resident of Mazandaran in Iran, was arrested while trying to smuggle drugs from Nimroz to neighbouring Iran. He said the smuggler had skilfully concealed the narcotics inside a tape recorder.
