Independent Electoral Commission in Iraq spokesman Farid Ayar said the committee refuses the use of any religious, ethnic, sectarian or nationalistic issues in the electoral campaign. Article 8 of the commission prohibits any blocs participating in the elections from using any kind of propaganda encouraging sectarian or ethno-religious appeals in their campaigns. Any bloc that violates the committee's regulations will be questioned and will bear the consequences of the violations.
