Giant munitions cache found in Jowzjan

Islah is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) has discovered a large weapons cache in Shiberghan, the capital of the northern province of Jowzjan, officials said. Provincial police chief Fazuldin said that the haul included 15,000 anti-personnel mines, 10,000 anti-tank mines and 80 tonnes of explosives. The munitions were handed over to the provincial Disarmament of Illegal Armed Groups (DIAG) commission.
