The provincial department for women’s affairs is to distribute 5,000 pieces of land to widows and needy women in the central province of Ghazni. The head of the department, Shukria Wali, said that so far they have distributed 300 pieces of lands to poor women and the remaining land will be distributed in the near future. The Ministry of Women’s Affairs had previously announced that it was ready to build one million shelters for widows and needy women across the country, if it was provided with land by the Afghan government.
