Why Northern Socio-political Group Congratulated Jonathan

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has explained that it congratulated President Goodluck Jonathan because he won a properly conducted election.
ACF’s National Publicity Secretary, Anthony Sani, said the organization was also being sensitive to the feelings of Nigerians, including northerners, who voted for Jonathan.
Sani however said ACF, a northern socio-political group, still believes that the Presidency should be rotated according to geo-political zones.
The ACF had opposed the candidacy of Jonathan because it wanted a northerner to complete late President Musa Yar Adua’s tenure according to PDP’s zoning arrangement.
