Police have recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunitions from a truck on the Kabul to Mazar-e-Sharif highway, security officials said on April 4. The commander of the Second Highway Brigade, Mohammad Khalil Andarabi, said officers seized two PK machine guns, one light machine gun, 17 Kalashnikov assault rifles with 310 magazines, and over 50,000 PK and Kalashnikov bullets. The two drivers of the truck have been arrested.
