A military vehicle of the American forces was blown up in a roadside explosion on December 14 in the Matoon district of the southeastern province of Khost, but there were no casualties, officials and witnesses said. Gul Rahman, a resident of Landi, a village close to the site of the incident, said the remote-controlled bomb completely destroyed the vehicle. Confirming the incident, a senior police official in Khost said the vehicle was burnt out. “We have launched joint operation with US troops to track down the perpetrators,” he added.
