Twelve militants held in Kandahar

Anis is a state-run daily published mostly in Dari.

Afghan police arrested twelve Taleban militants in the southern province of Kandahar on April 29, officials said. The press office at the Afghan interior ministry confirmed the news, saying the militants were arrested during an operation conducted by the provincial police force in the Panjwayee, Zhirai and Maiwand districts. One police officer also injured during the operation, said the official.
