Al-Ittihad is published daily by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

The Kurdistan parliament held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday - led by parliamentary speaker Adnan al-Mufti and attended by Kurdistan premier Najrevan Barzani and his deputy Omar Fattah - to disccuss Turkish threats to the region. Al-Mufti said, " We should no longer keep silent about Turkish threats because we do not interfere in their internal affairs." Najrevan said that dialogue was necessary to avoid any escalation in tensions and turn the region away from conflict.
