Taleban militants mount attack in Ghazni

Arman-e-Milli is an independent daily run by a group of journalists.

Nearly 40 Taleban militants attacked the Gairo district of the central province of Ghazni on the night of April 29, leaving one militant dead and two Afghan policemen injured, officials said. The district chief in Gairo said the firefight began at around 10 in the evening and lasted for two hours. He said the militants escaped after the battle, leaving a motorcycle, one Kalashnikov assault rifle and a radio behind.
