Taleban killed in Helmand

Hewad is a state-run daily published mostly in Pashto.

A Taleban militant was killed in the Khowaja Ali area of the southern province of Helmand on the night of March 10, following a gun battle with the local police, officials said. The Afghan Interior Ministry confirmed the incident, saying the enemies of peace and stability attacked police in the area. One policeman was killed and four others were wounded in a clash with the militants in the province on March 11.
