Afghan police arrested a Taleban commander, Mullah Rahimullah, in the southern province of Zabul after he was wounded in a clash late on February 17, officials said. Provincial police chief Mohammad Nabi Mullahkhil said police detained the commander and seized a Kalashnikov assault rifle in the village of Mozek after receiving a tip-off. Rahimullah’s men escaped, and police have launched a search operation to catch them, said Mullahkhil.
