Talabani Sees Islamic Party Chief

President Jalal Talabani had a meeting with the leader of the general council of the Iraqi Islamic party, Muhsin Abdul Hameed, at which he praised the party’s participation in the political process as an important step towards building national unity. Abdul Hameed expressed great confidence that Talabani's political background would play a major role in building a new Iraq and freeing the country from crisis. During the meeting, they agreed it was necessary to strengthen relations between the Islamic party and the Kurdish people.
