February 1 saw the first in a planned series of protests in Paris in support of the detained Damascus Declaration members, the damdec.org site reported. The Committee for the Damascus Declaration in France had called for solidarity meetings to take place daily from five to seven in the evening to publicise Syrian human rights violations both in France and internationally.
