Six children injured in Gardez mine blast

Outlook is an independent daily published in English.

Six children were wounded in a landmine explosion at a camp for returned refugees in the south-eastern province of Paktia on February 15. According to residents, the victims were collecting firewood in the nearby hills when the blast happened. Nine year-old Zainuddin, one of the injured, said she found a piece of metal while collecting wood. A doctor at the provincial civil hospital said the condition of two of the children was critical and they were taken to Kabul for proper treatment.
