Al-Sabah al-Jadeed is an independent daily paper.

Leading Shia cleric Ali Sistan has called on Iraqi citizens to work together to deal with the dangers and difficulties the country is facing. In an address he delivered in his office on Wednesday to a delegation of the Islamic League, he urged citizens to prioritise the interests of the homeland and to improve relations with one another.
