Sistani Calls for UIA Unity

Al-Bayan is issued four times weekly by the Islamic Da'wa Party, chaired by Iraqi prime minister Ibrahim al-Ja'fari.

Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani's office has asked the United Iraqi Alliance to remain united and not to ignore the rights of its elected officials and their voters. The office asked the UIA to speed up forming a new government to serve the people and to put an end to the deteriorating security situation. It urged the UIA to find solutions for Shia families displaced from their neighbourhoods.
