Saddam Trial Witness Escapes Attack

Al-Adala is issued daily by the Supreme Council of the Islamic Revolution in Iraq.

A witness in the trial of Saddam Hussein relating to Dijail [the first case brought against him] narrowly escaped an attempt on his life late on August 23. police said Jawad Kadhim, an engineer, was at his home in Dijail when unknown attackers fired a number of mortar bombs at the house. One of the policemen guarding the house was killed and a second officer injured.
