Two passengers were killed and six injured in two separate road accidents in the southern province of Zabul, security officials said on May 7. Provincial police chief Ghulam Nabi Mullahkhel said that the first incident occurred at around 11 am in the Shahr-e-Safa district of the province, when one passenger died and three others sustained injuries after a Kandahar-bound Toyota Corolla car skidded off the road and overturned. Meanwhile, a passenger was killed and three people were injured when a minibus heading for Ghazni collided with an articulated lorry in the Jaldak area of the provincial capital Qalat.
