Qatar Opens New Resort

Syria Media Report, 29-Feb-08

Qatari crown prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad al-Thani, opened a new tourist resort in Lattakia on February 28. Qatar is investing 350 million euros in the 244,000 square-metre Ibn Hani Bay resort, SANA news agency reported.

Thani and Syrian president Bashar al-Assad met ahead of the opening and discussed the progress of tourism and investment projects involving Syria and Qatar.
