PM Orders End to Baghdad Checkpoints

London-based Azzaman is issued daily by Saad al-Bazaz.

Iraqi prime minister Nuri al-Maliki has ordered the removal of all checkpoints and barriers hampering people's movements. Slow inspection at checkpoints manned by Coalition and Iraqi forces had been making it very hard for government employees, businessmen and students to get around the city.
