Pakistani governor orders expulsion of Afghan refugees

The governor of Pakistan’s North-West Frontier Province, NWFP, Khalil Rahman, has ordered the expulsion of Afghan refugees from the entire the province. During an emergency meeting, the governor directed officials to take immediate steps to send refugees back to Afghanistan. The governor also directed officials not to allow refugees back into NWFP. Sayed Mutabar Shah, an official with NWFP’s information department said the campaign to send refugees back to Afghanistan had started some days earlier.
